ENGINE FLUSH

Picha
What is Engine Flushing? Engine flushing is the process of cleaning up or warding off the  sludge  build-up in the engine. Let’s understand, what causes this sludge build-up. Engine oil is meant to cycle through and lubricate the engine components to help them function smoothly. Basically, engine oil is meant to remain in motion. When a car takes short trips or remains idle more often than not, the engine oil particles start leaving deposits that keep on building up sludge inside the engine. An element as small as 25 microns (approx. 1/1000 of one inch) can be removed by the best of the oil filters available. Particles even smaller than the aforementioned size are there in the oil that just can’t be filtered out. Over time these tiny particles accumulate together and build up sludge. The sludge, however prepared, increasingly resists the flow of engine oil. This issue, if neglected, can eventually lead to major troubles such as improper working valves, spark plugs, exhaust sensors, s

EGR VALVE

Picha
What is an EGR valve? The EGR valve is a small component, invented to allow the flow of exhaust gases into the intake manifold in controlled amounts. It is a simple valve that closes and opens as needed. The EGR valve has one job to do. Its role is to either open and direct exhaust gases into the combustion chamber or to close and keep the gases from entering. When your car engine starts, the valve becomes active and remains in a closed position, barring the flow of exhaust gases. Once the engine reaches working temperature and speed is increased, the valve — either through a vacuum or electronic control — increasingly opens, allowing burned exhaust gases to enter and combine with the air-fuel mixture inside the combustion chamber. If you slow down or come to a stop, the valve progressively closes and blocks the flow of exhaust gas. The process continues for as long as the engine is running. When the engine is off, the EGR valve closes and remains so. The EGR valve has been a problem

How to Stop Engine From Burning oil

How to Stop Engine From Burning oil The most straightforward way to fix a car that burns oil is to tackle everything causing it to burn oil. This should be done after carrying out a proper diagnosis. Whether the leak is internal or external, the important thing is, that you are losing oil which isn’t good for your engine or pocket. To fix a burning oil car; 1.Replace blown head gaskets 2.Ensure you fix anything causing engine overheating.  3.If your car consumes oil due to high performance, always check and top it 4.Replace bad spark plugs 5.Fix the worn ring pistons 6.Use the right types of oil 7.Fix a damaged oil pan By.Joseph Mujungu

ENGINE BURNING OIL..

 1. Leaks One of the most common reasons for oil burning is simply leaks. Over time, seals and gaskets can degrade, leading to small leaks. These leaks might not be immediately apparent, but they can add up over time, causing your car to burn through oil faster than it should. 2. Incorrect Oil Grade Another common cause of oil burning is using the incorrect oil grade for your car. Each car has specific requirements for the type of oil that should be used. If you use a lower grade oil than what is recommended, it will break down faster and won’t lubricate the engine as well, leading to increased friction and heat. This can cause your car to burn through oil quicker than normal. 3. Worn Piston Rings Another potential cause of oil burning is worn piston rings. The piston rings seal the gap between the pistons and the cylinder walls. Over time, they can wear down, causing oil to leak into the combustion chamber. This will cause your car to burn through oil faster than normal. Excessive Idl

10 Factors That Increase Fuel Consumption of your Car!

If you are running on a tight budget, fuel consumption must have been a concern for you. If you are not careful, poor fuel consumption can cost you a lot of money. Keeping a check of some key aspects can help you in drastically improving the fuel consumption of your car. Cars can return different fuel consumption figures based on many aspects that we are going to discuss in this article. If your car is not returning the expected fuel consumption, do check the following points to figure out what can be a possible problem. Poor Quality Engine Oil  Viscosity grade of engine oil is something that you have to keep in mind before buying engine oil for your car. Using the wrong motor oil for your car can lead to greater fuel consumption. This is due to the fact that the pistons and other moveable parts of your engine move less freely. This puts undue stress and pressure on the engine, which results in the engine consuming more fuel than necessary. Consult your car’s owner’s manual or visit

BLACK, DARK COLOR One tall-tale sign that transmission fluid needs to be changed is the color. Transmission fluid typically has a pink-red color, but as it ages, it begins to darken before eventually turning black. So, pop your vehicle's hood and pull the dipstick from the transmission, inspecting its color. If your transmission color is black or dark brown, it's probably a good idea to replace it. DIFFICULTY SHIFTING GEAR If your car fails to shift gears properly -- whether it's an automatic or manual transmission -- it could be a sign of bad transmission fluid, in which case you should change it ASAP. Clean transmission fluid flows more freely through the transmission. When debris accumulates inside it, however, the fluid turns into a sludge-like consistency, making it difficult to reach all of the internal components of the transmission. And when this happens, it may cause resistance or other problems when attempting to shift gears. SURGING When transmission fluid beco
